What a Wednesday morning.  I got to work around 8:30 and around 9:15 or so I started hearing all kinds of sirens.  I thought maybe another accident on the State Route near our shop.  But I went to look out the window and see smoke pouring out of the restaurant across the state route from our shop. I took this picture from our shop parking lot.

We got the truck back from the painter today. WOW it looks awesome. We went with a Patriotic Theme since we picked it up in PA and went to the Flight 93 Memorial. This is the striping on the side! I blocked out our license#.

Kodee back in front of the space heater! We had a new a/c - furnace installed at our shop this summer! But hubby John has not had time to run the gas line for the furnace yet. It has been unseasonably cool here so I had to break out the space heater! Kodee was very happy. She is so cold natured!!

Today we went up to Columbus for my cousin's little boys second birthday party!! We went early so we could go to the zoo for a couple hours. They have to coolest polar bear exhibit!! They have a tunnel with an arched glass wall. The polar bear was playing with a ball and kept diving down into the water with it!

FINALLY, caught up!!  This was a spider web in the high grass in the vacant lot next to us.

I never thought it would take me a month to catch up. But the trip to Vegas was fun and then right when I get home hubby tells me he has sold his 2004 work truck...so we spent the next few days clearing out all his tools and materials and then getting it cleaned up to drop off to the new owners....then he began the searching the internet to find a new truck which we had to drive to PA to pick up. Now getting it road ready...UGH... I wanted to get caught up sooner but just not enough hours in the day!!

September 3, 2010 - this was my first day back to work day! Didn't get a chance to take any pictures but thought I would share this picture taken at my sisters house. She has a bunch of quail's in her backyard. One got up in her dog's food bowl. The picture isn't that great since it was taken through a tiny crack in the curtain. Didn't want to scare it away!!

September 1, 2010 - my sister took me to a place called Cold Creek, in Nevada to see if we could see any of the wild mustangs. We did see about 40 of them. This first black colt was in the distance with its mother when I got out of the car to take a few pictures. It trotted right towards me!! I held my hand out and he or she sniffed my hand and I pet its nose. That was so awesome!! I got to pet the noses of three colts that day!! What an experience.

August 30, 2010 - Started out the day going along to see my Grandson Carter off on his first day of kindergarten!!

August 29, 2010 - Didn't take any pictures on this day so I will share a pic taken on Aug. 27 after we went to see the Big Horn Sheep we continued on to Hoover Dam. I wanted a picture of the new suspension bridge they are building. I think it is supposed to have its Grand Opening in November 2010!! They haven't allowed semi trucks to cross the dam since 9/11 and planned and have been building this bridge since.

I love it when I can get my picture of the day early in the day!  I was up and getting ready for work when I noticed a couple of hummingbirds visiting.  We had our sliding glass door tinted a month or more ago and it is kinda mirrored on the outside now, so I can move around behind it without disturbing the visiting creatures!!

Hummingbirds are so much fun to watch!!

This is Mike.  He is 18 years old.  He lives at the Riverbank Zoo in Columbia, SC.  He is quite the showman!

Trying go get caught up.  It is so easy to get behind.  Work has been crazy, trying to get ready for the office to be invaded by a/c men!!

8-3-2010 - Monday and all day Tuesday I worried about my son and daughter in law.  They were missing Boomer so much.  I searched online ads and found a litter of mini wiener dogs near them.  I made a call to my hubby to see if he would mind if I spent the $$ to buy a little pup for them.  Of course he said go right ahead.  So after work we went and picked her out of the three remaining babies!!  We went to their house and hubby snuck her in the front door and the look on their face when they first seen her was worth the $$ we spent.  I told them if it was too early we would take her home with us until they were ready, needless to say she never left their arms!!  They have named her Rolo.

I know she can't replace Boomer, but she can sure add to their lives!!

8-2-2010 - Today was a sad sad day.  My son and daugther in law had to have their beloved Boomer put to sleep.  He was diagnosis with kidney disease a few months ago.  RIP Boomer!  We will miss your sweet little face.

8-1-2010 - a busy busy day.  Didn't take pics with my camera just the cell phone while we were at work.  We had to pour a concrete pad for our new a/c unit to sit on.  We are getting central air and a natural gas furnace put at our shop.

After graduation on 7/29 Jason was allowed to go off post with us.  We ate lunch at chili's and supper at the olive garden.  Then a trip to Target for a laptop sleeve.  Before we took him back on post we had a little time at the hotel to give him his graduation gift.  Hubby and I bought him a Dell laptop to take to AIT.  He left the next morning to go to Ft. Sam Houston for 16 weeks.

Took this picture yesterday at our shop. The old stone porch has been chipping and breaking so we had to have it replaced. It also pooled water right in front of the door, making a mess. This is our new stone. It turned out beautiful!

Hubby, John picked four tomato's yesterday! The tomato plants on each side behind him are called Hillbilly Tomatoes. They are a yellow/red mix. They have some HUGE tomatoes on them!

I am still at work. Three of these little birds have been peeping in the window all afternoon! We had the windows tinted so it is kind of mirrored outside and they cannot see me if I stand on the other side of the window! They have been busy chasing flies!!

We drove to Cincinnati after work today to go to Bass Pro Shop. This storm was moving in when we went inside and it POURED the rain while we were looking around. We drove in the rain all the way home. It wasn't raining real hard at home and our rain guage only had 1/4 inch of rain in it.

What a day we had today! We got up at 5:30 to go to Middletown for the Hot Air Balloon Challenge, only to have it cancelled because of a storm coming through :o( So, we came home and cleaned the barn!! Then we went to Outback for dinner and off to a pond to do some fishing. A buddy of my hubhy John has a buck and two does that he has raised and each of the does have twin babies. Here's one of the babies. They are so pretty!!
